friday thank you for coming so quickly

happy friday friends.  what are your plans?  mj is taking me to the movies tonight to see The King's Speech.  YES!  probably so he can watch football all day saturday and sunday without interruption.  very smart man.  
have you seen it?  i can't wait.

it's still very cold out - so what i need to wear is something very very warm.  i couldn't find anything i loved so i put an outfit together myself.  does it look okay?

boots with socks.  do you do this?  wear your socks above your boots?  i kind of want to try.

philadelphia / bkm weekend

last weekend bkm and i traveled to Philadelphia for a quick girls weekend.  we did everything: liberty bell, independence hall, ben franklin's grave, shopping (the most amazing anthro - 4 floors of wonderful treats) and lots of good eating.  



taste of georgetown

this weekend is dc's annual taste of georgetown.  it is a celebration of food, wine and music - 30 of georgetown's best restaurants set up tents and showcase their favorite dishes.  mj and i went last year and had the best time.  all the info can be found here.

wedding weekend

MJ and I leave for Wilmington today.  His good friend from high school is marrying his college sweetheart and they asked MJ to be in the wedding.  such an honor.   They picked the perfect day for an outdoor wedding - Saturday is going to be sunny and 75!!  Hope everyone has a great weekend.  I'll post photos as soon as i return on Monday.

perfect family weekend

happy monday everyone!  how was your weekend?  mine was way too short - but i guess that's the way it always is when you have family in town.  i miss them already and they only left yesterday.  

 friday night we made it to a nats game - and we won!  beating the braves!!  guess my parents are good luck.  (and yes that is my mom and i with Teddy Roosevelt - it wouldn't be dc without a few presidents running around).

we spent saturday morning at the mall - its been almost 27 years since my dad has been to dc.  anyone else want to visit?  i'm a great tour guide!!

Can't believe it's already Friday - we should always have four day work weeks.

MJ and I are heading to Baltimore for the evening - to dine here and meet up with an old friend.  Saturday we are volunteering and Sunday will be a day of football for MJ and relaxation for me.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Go Hokies!

it's going to be a very hot one in dc (possibly the hottest ever).   planning on spending a lot of time at the pool and the the waterfront in Georgetown.  might even try and make these delicious treats for MJ - we are celebrating a year and a half together this weekend.

Memorial Weekend

MJ and I are off to Wilmington to visit his family and to celebrate - his parents have been married 30 years this weekend!!!  What an accomplishment.
